About

I have been diagnosed with panic disorder with agoraphobia, PTSD and anxiety NOS, whatever that means.   I have also experienced physical and emotional abuse as well as sexual trauma.  But if you were to ask me about these things in real life, I would say “what are you talking about?”.  I am hoping that by writing I can find my way through the maze that is my mind.

my blog went private… i dont know if i sent you an invite. if you want one, just drop me an email.

  2. You are very, very brave…I know it probably doesn’t feel like it, but you are…CHEERS!!!

Coming to terms with this stuff just to *ourselves* feels overwhelming most of the time!!…but, you’ve started…and you’re doing great!!!

Keep going forward…don’t judge the size of your steps. Even if you have to “Baby Step It” for 20 years, at least you’re still going forward, and healing *IS* taking place–even if it doesn’t feel like it.

    Thinking healing thoughts and
    praying for you…blessings,

    Linda.

You’re right, it doesn’t feel brave at all. I am the type of person that would just like to get it done right now. But i am learning that it does take time and I need to be patient with myself. Thank you for your encouragement and for stopping by.

I’m conducting dissertation research on blogs that discuss trauma. I’d like permission to use your blog in my research. If you could contact me via email, I can provide you with more information about the research so that you can make an informed decision.

    Thank you,
    Cat

  4. Hi! I’ve only recently discovered your bolg and I think it’s good. I just popped by to say hell and tell I added you to my blogroll. Best, Gittele

  5. Oh, sorry, that was rather unintelligible, wasn’t it? What I should have written was this: ‘… I think your blog is rather good. I just popped by to say hello and let you know I added you …’. Best, Gittele

    Dear Lost Inamaze

As the media intern for a non-profit focusing on mental health advocacy, I recently came across your organization in my online search for mental health resources and believe there is an excellent opportunity for cross-promotion between our Web sites.

Peers Envisioning and Engaging in Recovery Services, or PEERS, is a consumer-run agency that is leading the innovative Social Inclusion Campaign in Alameda County, California. The mission of the campaign is to promote social inclusion of and end stigma and discrimination against individuals with mental health issues.

One way we hope to promote social inclusion is by asking members of the community to make a personal commitment to end mental health stigma. By taking the “Stigma Stops with Me” Facebook pledge on our website (http://www.peersnet.org/pledges/makepledge) or on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/PEERS-Peers-Envisioning-Engaging-in-Recovery-Services/82259569303), you will be bringing people together to combat mental health stigmatization and advocate for the betterment of the community as a whole. We also welcome any friends, family, or colleagues you have who may be interested to pledge as well.

In addition, we are interested in placing your link and logo on the PEERS Web site as a “Community Partner” at http://www.peersnet.org/partners. In return, we would appreciate a PEERS logo and link placement on your site if you are able.

Thank you, and I look forward to the opportunity of working together!

Sending warm thoughts your way, even if you aren’t here to read this. Although you’ve stopped blogging, for now or forever, I have still nominated you for the One Lovely Blog award.. I’ve read your blog for a long time and have always found it inspiring and still do, even in your absence. You don’t have to do anything with this – just know how much I appreciate everything you write about. xx Here is the link to the post, should you want to look at it: http://imwakingup.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/catching-up-part-i/

I hope you’re doing well – many hugs to you..
